Sunday 11 December 2016. 10 of us turned out today for Sue’s short 6.25 mile walk around Lord Melchett’s estate at Courtyard Farm just outside Ringstead in Norfolk. The farm is “environmentally” managed and there are some wonderful wildflowers to be seen in spring/summer, which is when we normally do this walk. Heading towards Christmas there isn’t a great deal to see although some of the hedgerows still had a good number of red berries to add a little colour. Our route took us on many permissive paths not marked on the map but details are available on the farm’s website
I only took a couple of pictures with my camera and spent some time playing around with the “Skyline” feature in the Viewranger app on my smartphone which adds place-name markers to pictures in a form of virtual reality.
