Bircham Mill walk

Today in the coolness of the morning 9 members of the Fenland group set off from Bircham Mill

The walk was mainly on grassy tracks with a few muddy patches and one very large puddle ( see pictures) .

We were passed by some off road bikers on one track but apart from that saw hardly anyone else on the walk.

We came across a variety of wild flowers and took a detour to investigate the disused St Andrew’s church which is completely hidden among the vegetation. In the church grounds we found a memorial to the Easter family and when we had our lunch stop at Bircham Newton found a grave stone for another Easter.

As the day went on the sun shone and the walk was finished in very warm sunshine.
