Sunday 7 December 2014. Josephine still has a sore foot so I stepped in (pun intended) to lead today’s walk on her behalf. 11 of us met at the Dogotel for this 8½ mile walk. We hadn’t been going for more than 10 minutes up the Peddars Way before it started to rain. It was more of a heavy shower than true rain but still lasted for about 30 minutes. We stopped for coffee after about 2½ miles at Bunker’s Hill.

The next leg of the walk took us through Big Wood towards Houghton Hall and then on to a lengthy section of road walking into Harpley where we stopped at the church for lunch. This break was badly timed and it was raining again when we started the 3rd and final leg of the walk. Luckily the rain was short lived and we finished in sunshine.
