Sunday 5 October 2014. 16 walkers, including 2 new members and 2 guests from the Peterborough Group, turned out on a lovely sunny day for this 7 mile walk from Castle Acre lead by Josephine. We started by doing a circuit of the Castle ruins before crossing the River Nar to head out into the Norfolk countryside. Our route took us in the direction of West Acre before turning east along the Nar valley. Lunch was taken alongside the Nar before making a circuit of the Priory ruins and back to the cars.
The good weather must have encouraged the dog walking fraternity out for the day as we regularly encountered a variety of canines and their respective owners.
