Snettisham RoW Campaign

Sunday 4 May. Many locals in and around Snettisham have been mounting a campaign to gain recognition and acceptance of the Right of Way in front of properties running along part of Snettisham beach. Locals maintain that this is “common land” but beach front properties owners insist that there is no RoW and have put up signs to this effect. The local authorities have ruled that these signs are illegal and the issue will be determined by a public inquiry to be held in June. As a forerunner to this, those in favour of public access mounted a protest march today. The following pictures have been gathered from the internet.
