Sunday 27 October. The first group walk since the clocks went back and I guess that it’s the start of winter. Storm force winds are forecast for tomorrow but for today, at least, it was only breezy and still surprisingly mild. 15 walkers including 2 potential new members and a guest from the King’s Lynn group turned out for this 6¾ mile walk from Snettisham to the coast at Shepherd’s Port and back through Ken Hill Woods.
Sunday 20 October. The poor weather forecast must have deterred some as there were only 9 of us on today’s 6.4 mile walk from King’s Cliffe. Linda, Beryl, Joy and me from Fenland and 5 members of the Hunts group who didn’t have a walk of their own today. As it turned out, it stayed dry throughout the whole of the walk with warm sunshine for most of the time. It was a nice gentle paced walk, enjoyed by the few brave souls who disregarded the poor forecast in favour of some exercise in the open air.
