Torver

Sunday 14 July. Another hot day was forecast so I was off at just after 8am for my 4.8 mile walk from Torver with just over 1,000ft of ascent. My route took me up towards the Walna Scar road which skirts the foot of Coniston Old Man. I stopped to explore the disused Homestead Quarries before making my way back to the caravan in time to watch the final day of the Ashes cricket.
