Norber Erratics

Sunday 14 April. I was joined today by the “4 ladies” from the Fenland Ramblers and the idea was to go for a morning walk. The drive across to where they are staying in Ingleton was dry but it started to rain soon after I arrived and we decided that we would wait until the afternoon in the hope that it would dry up.

We set off at about 14:30 to Clapham for a walk up to the Norber Erratics, along Crummack Dale and returning alongside Clapham Beck. About 15 minutes into the walk we encountered heavy showers but these soon passed, allowing us to enjoy the remainder of this 7½ mile walk with 1,400ft of ascent.
