Loughrigg & Rydal Water

For Karen’s last walk on this holiday we selected something less taxing with only 5.5 miles and 1,320ft of ascent. Starting from White Moss Common, we made our way towards Loughrigg for the 800ft climb to the summit of Loughrigg Fell at 1,060ft. It was a winding but gradual descent to Cote How for mid-walk refreshments before dashing back to the cars as our parking tickets were about to time-expire.

There are only 2 pictures today as a heavy rain shower on the Loughrigg ascent must have found its way into my new camera and now it doesn’t work and the lens won’t retract.
