Hilary, Karen and I went today to recce a 6 mile walk starting at Stoke Ferry. It was another beautiful crisp winter’s morning and it felt good to be out and about. The picture gives an idea of the country that we walked through, with the early part of the walk following the route of the River Wissey. From here there was more open countryside where we saw a Barn Owl hunting for a meal. The bit through Stoke Ferry wasn’t that interesting but we were soon at Wretton church where we stopped for lunch. After this it was just a short walk back to the cars.
