By way of a change, I decided to join a led walk today at the local RSPB reserve at Arne. We hadn’t been out too long before spotting two of the star species; the Dartford Warbler and the Woodlark. We also saw a smooth snake which one of the Wardens had found for us. Although we were out for nearly 3 hours, we couldn’t have covered more than a couple of miles. Back to the serious walking tomorrow – weather permitting!
