Moreton-in-Marsh

Today’s walk was planned to be 6½ miles with about 500ft of ascent climbing to Bourton-on-the-Hill and back again. However, it was such a perfect day that we didn’t want to return too early so we changed the route to add an extra mile. This was the last walk before Karen & Barry went home and being rather more leisurely than previous walks allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery of the Cotswolds. There were a profusion of wild flowers and at least two different butterflies’ on display. The blossom on the trees and in the hedgerows was spectacular but the bare tree in the picture with a deep blue sky as a background provided an equally great photo opportunity.
